A city of southern California on San Diego Bay, an inlet of the Pacific Ocean near the Mexican border. Although explored by the Spanish in 1542, the area's first permanent settlements were not established until the 1700s. A noted zoological park is located in the city, which is a major port of entry and a military, commercial, industrial, and research center. Population: 1,260,000. The city is beautiful. As in Mayami they have a whale locked in a small tank just for the fun of the peoples.
The ride to L.A.
The ride is about 2 hours but can be upwards of 3 hours or more if there is heavy congestion on the freeways, which is true much of the time. By the way highways are called freeways on the East Coast.
The I-5 S. Freeway is beautiful, running right along the Pacific Ocean. Magnificent houses overlooking the ocean and beaches full of surfer dudes.
Temperature is amazing, a full year 75 F average is just great, the cool breeze from the Pacific flows trough the mountains.
